It seems like just transferring the data to a similar platform is not a good solution. If bcrash.ning can be co-opted, so can anarchme.ning.

Something needs to evolve here.

Well, the first thing to check is whether there's any way to export from Bureaucrash Social (since available methods of importing will, at a minimum, be constrained by the available methods of exporting).

Is there any way for you to get, e.g., an RSS or Atom feed of the discussions that you want to port over?
